Barbara from Scottsdale called in about Basilico Italian Restaurant at 10155 East Vía Linda
Scottsdale, AZ 85258-5329  (480) 451-0422.  Barbara and her husband Chuck love this restaurant.  She had the halibut, it was a thick piece and delicious.  Her husband had the marsala and really enjoyed that.  They also had a lentil soup that was very unusual and amazingly delicious.  Watch out for the bread, Barbara said it was wonderful, but don’t fill up.

MaryAnne from Scottsdale and her husband celebrated their Anniversary at Il Poggio D’Italia at  8752 E. Shea Blvd. Scottsdale, AZ  85260   (480) 948-7100. They went with another couple and had a most delicious dinner.  They loved the accordion music that they feature on Saturday nights.  The Osso Bucco was the best they have ever had, fall off the bone melt in your mouth with a wonderful brown sauce with diced veggies in it.   They are from New York and loved the flavors.  Her husband had the Brocolli Rabe and MaryAnne said it is better than her recipe and they love hers.  The evening was fantastic.  Great food and service.  They had had the Osso Bucco before as an appetizer and loved it so much they ordered it as the entree this time.

Rita from Scottsdale loves the pizza at Spinatos. She says it is the best pizza in the valley.  They love Chicago style and say this is even better than what you get in Chicago.  There are many locations in the valley.

Janet in Scottsdale went to Jacquelines café 6107 N Scottsdale Rd  Scottsdale, AZ 85250   (480) 951-5244 She went on Saturday morning  for breakfast.  It was busy and took a few minutes for service.   Once she got service it was great.  The portions are huge.  She had the corned beef hash with eggs over medium with delicious homefries.  Janet really likes the decor and the food.

Jim in Scottsdale gave his parents a 50th Anniversary Brunch at Fred’s at Barneys 4500 N Scottsdale Rd
Scottsdale, AZ 85251-7604   (602) 337-6111.    From the moment he got to the restaurant  (surprise party)  everything was  a joy.  They had 10 people with drinks lunch and a chocolate and raspberry mousse  cake it all came in under $250.00 .  They even greeted his parents with a gift from Barney’s.  The service and experience was impeccable.  Jim could sit there and enjoy his party with no stress at all.  He loves this restaurant.

Steve in Scottsdale called in about  Bacon 4175 North Goldwater Boulevard Scottsdale, AZ 85251-3822 - (480) 947-3090.   It was a great surprise – He had a wonderful breakfast.  Each dish comes with a choice of  thick bacon, Canadian bacon, or sausage.  They were out of Canadian bacon so he had the sausage it was delicious.  Nice modern atmoshpere.
