Don & I had lunch today at Habaneros Mexican Grill 14870 North Northsight Blvd, Suite 106Scottsdale, AZ (480) 991-2997 they are new sponsors of the show.  We are so proud to tell you about the delicious food. The first hurdle you have to make is what to order, they have a great menu.  I tried the calamari taco….WHAT!!!   you heard me, a calamari taco and it was cooked perfectly, crunchy , but not over done – no rubbery calamari here.  The flavors were terrific with pico de gallo , chipotle sauce & cabbage. Don had the Carne Asada Burrito (click to keep reading), of course I took a bite and it was delicious.  We also tried the blackened chicken quesadilla A large portion and the chicken was so tender.  I really enjoyed everything.  I can’t wait to go back for breakfast.  They even had Chilaquiles. Another dinner option that looked great was the Parrillada a combination of grilled steak, grilled chicken, chorizo & carnitas, served with rice, refried beans or black beans and your choice of flour, wheat or corn tortilla with guacamole & sour cream for $10.99 .  Let’s talk about drinks, not that kind although they do have a full bar and a great happy hour Monday – Friday from 3-6 PM.  They have this great machine along with your typical sodas & tea they have this Bang Machine I tried the two whipped drinks.  The Pina Colada (non alchoholic) was delicious, the orange tasted like a creamsicle.  The Jamaica Ole was like a punch and my favorite was the horchata .  The whole experience was a delight and Arturo, the owner and the staff were very hospitable.  You can tell they love their customers. You’ve got to check it out. It will be your new favorite!
