Ingredients
1 large piece of
frozen
meat:
cross rib roast
or
chuck roast
or
pork shoulder
Preparation
Preheat oven to 230 degrees.
Rub frozen meat with a dry rub of your choice of seasonings
Place frozen meat in a cast iron Dutch oven or other oven-proof roasting pan with a tight-fitting lid.
Cover.
Roast in preheated oven for 8-10 hours.
Notes
The meat will be tender and slice beautifully.
Approximately 2 cups of broth will be available.
If stew beef is used, it will shred.
