Ingredients
  • 3 or 4 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1 cup Catalina salad dressing
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup apple butter
  • 1 cup Coca-Cola

Preparation
  1. Place everything except ribs into mixing bowl.
  2. Combine ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Place ribs in baking dish on meat rack (if available).
  4. Spread 1/2 of sauce evenly over ribs and cover with plastic wrap leaving one corner open to vent. (Note: If using flat-bottomed dish, elevate dish on inverted saucer.)
  5. Microwave on high for 5 minutes (6 minutes for low-wattage microwaves).
  6. Reduce power to medium and microwave for 25 minutes (30 minutes for low-wattage microwaves).
  7. Turn ribs over and drain excess fat.
  8. Spread remaining sauce on ribs.
  9. Cover and return to microwave.
  10. Microwave at medium setting for 25-30 minutes or until meat is fork-tender. (30-35 minutes for low-wattage microwaves)
  11. Let stand, covered, for 10 minutes to finish tenderizing before serving.

Notes
Be sure to arrange ribs with meatier ends toward the outside of dish and thinner portions toward the center.

This sauce works great on anything you want to barbecue!
