Ingredients
|
- 2-1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 pound chopped dates, pitted and cut into thirds
- 2 cups Brazil nuts, cut into thirds
- 1 cup walnuts, cut into fourths

Preparation
|
- Boil milk and sugar until it forms a soft ball.
- Add dates and boil for 6 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Add nuts.
- Soak two dishtowels in sinkful of water and ice until thoroughly chilled.
- Remove and wring out.
- Spread towels on counter quickly to retain chill.
- Top with waxed paper.
- Turn mixture out onto paper topped towels.
- Roll into logs.
- If necessary, reice towels to keep cold.
- Wrap rolls in waxed paper, sealing tightly.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Slice as needed.
