Ingredients
  • 4-1/2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal - uncooked
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In large bowl, stir together oatmeal, raisins, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In separate bowl, whisk together maple syrup, apple juice, and vegetable oil.
  4. Drizzle over oatmeal mixture.
  5. Stir to coat thoroughly.
  6. Spread mixture into an even layer in a 15"x12" baking pan.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, stirring twice during baking time.
  8. Cool mixture in pan.
  9. Add raisins.
  10. Stir.
  11. Store in an airtight container.
  12. To serve, pour 1 cup of milk over a heaping 1/2 cup of granola.  Top with fresh berries or bananas.
  13. To serve with yogurt instead of milk, top yogurt with granola.

Notes
This recipe makes 9 servings with 320 calories each and 35% of the daily value of calcium when served as suggested.
