Ingredients
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 12 oz butter
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 6-7 garlic cloves
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp oregano

Preparation
  1. Preheat broiler
  2. In small mixing bowl, combine butter and olive oil. Mix until consistency of whipped cream.
  3. Finely mince garlic and add them to butter mixture. Blend well.
  4. Add oregano to butter mixture, and blend well.
  5. Place butter in refrigerator.
  6. Cut French bread into 3/4-inch thick ovals.
  7. Place bread on baking sheet and spread each slice with butter mixture on top side.
  8. Top each slice with cheese.
  9. Place under broiler until cheese is melted and edges of bread begin to brown.
