A tradition of fine food broadcasting since 1996
THE RECIPE
- Set Aside 2 hours
Monday – Friday 11-1 PM adjust radio to 1440 KAZG or streaming at kimanddon.com
- Add 2 radio broadcasters–Kim & Don
who like each other a lot, love giving thousands of $$ away in prizes to their listeners & take pleasure in supporting many causes.
- Stir in 1 extremely devoted intergenerational audience
we call the “Condiments” because they add flavor to the show. They test their food IQ with the trivia, win prizes, share their passion for food, and come to regular remote broadcasts at various restaurants around the valley. Sometimes they even sing for their supper.
- Add a splash of food trivia, movie bites & guess–the-recipe
- 1 topical survey question
- 1 taste of music
- 1 famous food quote
- Toss in interviews with the cookbook authors
- Garnish with award winning chefs-
some international & locally grown favorites: Thomas Keller, Jacque Pepin, Graham Kerr, Rocco Dispirito, Beau MacMillan, Kevin Binkley ,Bradford Thompson, - Sprinkle in Loyal Sponsors
- Gently toss in food news of the day
Kim & Don stir it all together, bring it from simmer to boil & dish up
2 hours of smiles, prizes, surprises. A refreshing change for talk radio.

Hi Guys. I always wondered what you looked like… This is my first time on your website. You both look happy! For the second time this year I had dinner at Montelucia. It was terrible as usual. I give up! Had dinner at Bloom the other night. Awesome salmon! Love, love, love your show! My 6 kids enjoy it as well. My very best, Allie.
Hi Allie,
So sorry to hear about Montelucia. I had high hopes for them. I haven’t been to Bloom in years, so glad you enjoyed the salmon. They do a great job as I remember.
Thanks so much for listening to the show, we really appreciate it and would love to hear from the kids one day, if they want to call in.
Have a delicious 4th of July,
Kim & Don
great show, really enjoyed “Oh what a beautiful —-” by Marty. Keep up the good work!
I just want to thank you for recommending Lemishine. My dishes are spotless.
It is a miracle product. Thanks for listening to the show, we do appreciate it.
Being from CA we don’t have the opportunity to listen to your station. However when we are in AZ the station is our choice. On May 20th we were leaving AZ and heading home and listened to your show from 11AM until we lost the signal somewhere around Quartzite. We both truly enjoyed the show. We were not able to copy the recipe for Dukkah and would love to get it. I have searched some food sites without success.
Keep up the good show.
Til we visit AZ again CIAO
It is so nice meeting you. I will e-mail you the recipe. Thanks so much for listening when you can, we do appreciate ti.
Kim
Dear Kim and Don:
Went to the Side Door last week and the salad I had was great. It was called “Everything But the Kitchen Sink. The girl behind the bar was nice and polite and working her butt off. I told her I had won the gift certificate from you two and she said she was just on the show.
The only thing bad was half the business had no electricity including the air conditioning. They were trying to fix it The Side Door was a little warm but my drink kept me cool.
So glad you enjoyed it!
Hi, Kim & Don– as you can see I finally got a computer. Now I can listen to your show every day (even if I don’t call in) get on your website and find out where the remotes are (even if I can’t always attend them), and get the wonderful recipes that your “condiments” send in. I really love your show and the both of you are such a complement to each other–I love your banter. Keep’em coming.
Wow, I am impressed, you go girl!!!!
Thanks for your flattering comments, it is so nice of you to take the time to write.
We love that you are a part of the Culinary Confessions Family.
