A fantastic plate of fish tacos and crispy sweet potato fries. I loved it. $9.00.

We had a delicious lunch at the Ventura Grill, 9261 E Via De Ventura, in Scottsdale.  So easy to find, you can almost see it from the 101 and Via De Ventura.  Just get off and go West and it is next to the Gas station.  It is a best kept secret. They even have $5.99 lunches. Read More→

Italy- Milan – Day 1

I am so excited to be in Italy.  It’s my first visit.  I am traveling with my two sisters, brother in law & Niece.  We are meeting up with a group from the Culinary Institute of America. Master  Chef Erik Blauberg with his Culinary Passport Program has worked  hard to quench our thirst for knowledge and great food for this Northern Italian trip.  We landed in Milan at 6:00 AM. a day before the trip begins to explore Milan and try to get acclimated. Pasta Primo Remote

Ravioli di Zucca -Butternut squash ravioli with parmesan, brown butter, sage and crumbled Italian amaretti cookie 7.49 It is delectable.

As always, we loved our remote at Pasta Primo Italian Bistro 16255 North Scottsdale Road C-1  -Scottsdale, AZ -(480) 922-8630.  Craig, is such a great host.   We had a great crowd that filled the restaurant and dined on the patio.  Craigs mom even flew down for the remote and celebrate her birthday and the one year re-opening of Pasta Primo.  Thank to all of our listeners for coming, your the best.  Everyone got a Pasta Primo Hat and the first 50 people that came and some got there at 9:00 AM got a gift certificate.  Everyone was delighted. Vincitorios Restaurant in Tempe

We get so many listeners that call in about the fantastic food at Vincitorios Restaurant in Tempe 1835 E Elliot Rd # C109 Tempe, AZ 85284-1747 (480) 820-2786.  The food is all made homemade by Chef Mario Vincitorio, not only is it delicious but it is reasonably priced.  This is a family owned restaurant. They have Burrata, calamari, homemade pastas, stromboli, pizza and for dessert they have Panne Cotta, cannolis, tiramisus.  The menu is great for lunch or dinner. Check it out.

Pasta Primo

We had an amazing lunch at Pasta Primo Italian Bistro 16255 N Scottsdale Rd C-1, Scottsdale -(480) 922-8630.  Craig, the new owner, is doing a fantastic job.  The place is comfortable, great service and then top that off with great food at a reasonable price and I am in heaven.  That is exactly what happened at our lunch.  See for yourself.

We had our reverse radiothon.   Don and I donated $10.00 for each call on our show today.  We had 85 calls in the two hours.  Listeners called in and told the name of a restaurant they are grateful for in the Valley.  We rounded up and donated $500.00 to the St. Mary’s Westside Foodbank Alliance and $500 to the United Food Bank .  Here is the list of restaurants the listeners called in about.

Vince in mesa love the  pizza  - Bob in Chandler enjoys the Scrambled eggs, Joseyann from Mesa goes for the Angel Hair Pasta with any sauce, John in Tempe Lynn in Goodyear loves anything on the menu, Ron in Mesa is a big fan of the pizza.   Jeannie in Chandler couldn’t decide what her favorite is at Salernos ,she likes everything.  Cheryl in Chandler really loves the Veal Parmigiani
