We had our reverse radiothon.   Don and I donated $10.00 for each call on our show today.  We had 85 calls in the two hours.  Listeners called in and told the name of a restaurant they are grateful for in the Valley.  We rounded up and donated $500.00 to the St. Mary’s Westside Foodbank Alliance and $500 to the United Food Bank .  Here is the list of restaurants the listeners called in about.
We would like to thank these people for helping us:

MaryAnn in Scottsdale went to the Saddle Bronc Grill in Fountain Hills
11056 North Saguaro Boulevard  Fountain Hills, AZ 85268-5540 (480) 816-5900
They went on a Friday night.  She had the fish fry  with sweet potato fries and her husband had  the John Wayne burger, it sounded delicious.  The food was great, the service was good and they loved the atmosphere.  MaryAnne thought it would be a good place to go with a group to dance.  They had music there that night and people were line dancing.  It was a lot of fun.

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Look what you missed!  But it is not too late.  The food at MPJ’s Grill & Restaurant in Fountain Hills was delicious. There were  rave reviews about the Friday Fish.  It was baked with a nice crispy topping, delicious.  The burgers, pasta dishes, Rueben sandwiches and that Avocado and Shrimp towers were just a few winners.  The prices are amazing.   Check out some of the dessert dishes and some of the fine people that were able to join us.    Thanks to the crew at MPJ’S Grill for a great time. We have some great photos. Read More→

6/28/10

We had two people call in from Fountain Hills today,  Penny and Mary each independently to say how much they love the food at MPJ’s Grill & Restaurant 15225 N Fountain Hills Boulevard, Suite 104
Fountain Hills, AZ 85268-2300
.  Mary talked about the baked Fish on Friday and we have heard from others about the delicious and inexpensive Lamb chops. This is a family owned restaurant owned by Joel with his wife and sister waiting tables to just name a few.  They had worked at the Phoenician Hotel in the Restaurants and it is obvious.  The food is delicious and the service is impeccable.   Try the blackened chicken topped with avocado and tomato salsa.  Don had it and we both loved it moist and flavorful.   I had the baked fish with homemade tartar sauce and a tender and delectable, perfectly cooked with a bread crumb crust.  We each had a  beautiful field green salad with homemade Oriental dressing with a slight kick and peanutty flavor Don had the Blue Cheese. YUM!
