It was a blast at Dutchman’s HideOut at The Mining Camp Restaurant in Apache Junction .  This is our third remote here and each time people can’t get over how delicious the food is.  The service was terrific.  The food is amazing at a great price.   I love the Gold Strike Burger.   Here are some great photos of the remote.   We enjoyed having Lauren from the Beef Council join us.

Mel’s Diner Remote

Monday, April 18th, 2011

Mel’s Diner, 1747 NW. Grand Ave Phoenix, AZ – (602) 252-8283, was like “time travel”, back to the days of the TV show Alice, however, the surreal part was that the service and food were terrific, so unlike the show.  Here are some fun photos of the remote.  Paraskevi Stamatouli, and  her husband, Emmanouil Stivaktakis, , owners of Mel’s  with  Rebecca and the other gave  great service and delicious food.  They really had things humming. Check out all the photos.

Owner Emmanouil Stivaktakis,

Pinnacle Peak Patio

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011

We had a great time when we took out of town guests, Don’s Sisters, brothers in law, and nephew with a friend in tow to Pinnacle Peak Patio on 10426 East Jomax Road Scottsdale, AZ 85262 (480) 615-1113 . We thought the views on the drive up would be great and we had never been to this landmark tradition in Arizona.  (Be careful, don’t wear a tie, they will cut it off and the evidence hangs from the ceilings.) Here are some photos of our meal.  They have a trading post that is not as impressive as the Mining Camp in Apache Junction, but the atmosphere is very Western. Read More→

Great Sandwiches

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

We had two great sandwiches as Market Bistro 6501 E Greenway Pkwy, Suite 123, Scottsdale (480) 291-1010 and 777 E Thunderbird Rd, Suite 107, Phoenix, AZ (602) 942-2200. We had the Arizona tri-tip which was Grilled chili rubbed tri-tip, smoked paprika mayo, shaved pickled peppers, radishes, queso fresca, with romaine tossed in oregano vinaigrette on ciabatta.

Arizona Tri tip sandwich, YUM!

We also tried the pesto chicken which was also wonderful.  It is grilled pesto chicken breast, tomato and corn remoulade with arugula tossed in oregano vinaigrette on foccacia.  This is a  great place that you should definitely add to your list of Deliciousness in Arizona.
