Lime Light Dipping Bar & Grill

Sunday, September 25th, 2011

Don and I had the pleasure of touring the menu at the hip, new and delectable Lime Light Dipping Bar & Grill. 4218 N. Scottsdale Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85251 – 480)949-8900. Chef Lefty is the Host with the most.  The food was amazing, Don and I were not surprised with the flavors of the dipping sauces and the care taken in all of the recipes to offer creative dishes that everyone will love. You can customize each dish with a choice of 15 sauces. If you are not comfortable with that Chef Lefty offers his suggestions.  If you like heat, try Chef Lefty’s Ghost Pepper or for a cooler flavor wasabi yogurt  or go a different way with sweet & sour, pineapple coconut or Bacon aioli just to name a few.  PROBLEM: The menu is almost difficult to negotiate because there are so many great choices. SOLUTIONS:  Go often and work your way through the tempting menu, you can afford it, the most expensive thing is the pizza’s at $16.00.  Check this out: Read More→

Say “Cheese” without all the fat

Monday, May 16th, 2011

The Dairy Council of Arizona is joining us today and I thought it would be fun to try my hand at yogurt cheese.  I did variations and it was fun. I started off with a big container of Fage 2%.  I like the texture better than the 0% fat, but they both work.  Wrap in a thin cotton towel and place in a colander or strainer over a bowl.  Place in the refrigerator and occasionally ring it out so more water drips out.  Read More→
